Easter at the Cabin

We had guests join us at the cabin for Easter weekend, Martin's former colleague and friend David and his son Ian. We were so lucky with the weather, finally a warm sunny weekend. It was still cold enough to build a fire in the evenings, but warm enough to run around outside in the day.

First, we prepped. The boys helped unload our firewood delivery.

Then we played. Our neighbor Ethan came over, and the boys played outside for a couple of hours. Then they came inside and played Team Battleship. After he left, the boys settled into the couch and played in their respective electronics.

Saturday morning at the park. Ian tried to meditate, but in the end everyone got dizzy.

Lilli just looked on (although we're not sure how much she can see through all that extra fur).

On Saturday, we went into Three Oaks and took a tour of Journeyman Distillery. The boys were moderately entertained by the tour (although it's the third time through for my kids), but they were happy to just sit in the restaurant and play.

Kaliedoscope.

We took a walk to the beach with Lilli.

Easter dinner (which was extremely delayed due to a very long cooking ham).

It was almost too cold for s'mores. But not quite.

Still life of s'more set up (including leftovers of ham dinner).

Coloring eggs.

Hunting for treasures.

Easter breakfast with bonus bunny ears.

David and Ian left after breakfast, and we just hung around the cabin, soaking up the warm weather.
